they both were ok and interesting enough to make a visit, but nothing breath-taking quality. the tibetan temple was quite different from any other temples in japan, but i didnt get its purpose. there was a gift shop next to it, but it was closed. one person who was working for this temple couldnt really answer what i asked about the temple. the other temple, the ryusenji-temple, was an ordinary traditional temple but with good buildings. thats it.
these are located rather near to each other, and they both are connected by the "guide way bus," which ive never used. im wondering how much they are used. its a bus network on a gigantic bridge only for this node, so that there is no congestion. the huge and long bridge in the picture is a part of it. in my opinion, i dont understand the reason and the purpose. it seems that this node of transportation could be observed around the world, and its number is increasing (according to wikipedia;)), but i wonder why it had to be a guided way bus in this case. it could have been a tram network, and i would prefer this more. but my stupid idea cannot make it undone anymore, so ill propose one alternative use of this infrastructure.
as a cyclist, i propose that such a luxurious infrastructure should be shared also with bike lanes. it seems that this gigantic bridge is only used by bus today, but it would be an epoch-making case if it will be transformed into a bus&bike lane. it could be realised by the use of narrower buses or preferably narrower light rails. otherwise, by controlling the flow of traffic, it would be possible to use one lane only, and the unused lane could be used by cyclists. this should be possible, because there is no congestion on this bridge, so it should be possible to calculate the time usage and organise the time schedule well. by utilising the open lane by biking, it would be a will that nagoya is changing to a much more environmental friendly city. and hopefully, this sort of movement will be spread to other bigger roads in this city, so that cyclists can cycle more comfortably and therefore pedestrians will be more secured on streets.
