3331 art cyd

in japan, many cities outside tokyo have been facing serious decline in population. many schools were closed down and children often have to use buses to go to local elementary school, which sounds weird as it doesnt seem to be locan anymore. 

however, this kind of case is not limited only in rural villages but also in the very central part of tokyo. in the very centre of tokyo, schools closed down a lot.

in chiyoda city, one of such junior highs was nicely renovated to become an artist-in-residence. its called 3331 art cyd. on the last saturday in june, there was an opening party for this project. one of my friends from uni who studied something related to art and works for that sort informed me about it, and it appealed to me a ton, and reasonably, i went there.

the atmosphere was very avant garde. the built environment was just a functional school like, but its interior was renovated with a great sense by artists kinda people. as it was an opening, there were many artists-kinda-people coming, and i could get to know many interesting people who id love to work with sometimes.

the third picture is a collection from kaekko caravan project led by Hiroshi FUJI. he was a really interesting person who id love to become like. this sort of meeting always offers me a great inspiration.

its not the best museum which is on any tourists guides, but it offered a great encounter to a new art scene in tokyo. i should definitely visit there again on ordinary days.

..... hmm obviously ive totally forgot how to write with a good order in english.... lets hope soon ill be bit more fluent in writing after many clumsy blog writing.

i was supposed to be uploading more but have been too lazy to do any.

after three months of training period, im now officially employed at a small town planning thinktank/consulting company in tokyo. as im now officially employed, i restarted reading more in english again as im supposed to have bit more time, right? the boss asked me the other day, "what do you want to do? what do you want to be?" i was not able to answer such a simply question. ive been lost totally recently. hopefully i can grasp the answer by doing what i should do and what i have to do at the moment, and try not to lose my english literacy. lets see whats ahead in my life!!

from the next entry ill surely restart my city blog!!!
